Cannot control bowel movements

I am 19 Years old and I constantly have to make bowel movements and it is never regular. I don't always feel sick when this happens but a lot ofthe time I do. It is very embarrassing and I'm afraid to go out in public sometimes. I was just fine about two months ago and the doctor just gave me a stool hardener and it doesn't work.
Please help!

What specific tests did you have?

It's very soft sometimes even liquid. I have gone and gotten it tested but everything seemed okay
