Those are very strong antbiotics, and they are prescribed to kill bacteria in the body, the trouble with the MD's that prescribe these medications do not tell patients that they also kill the good bacteria that helps to protect the lining of the stomache and the intestines, and they also help in digestion. So you need to go to your local Health Food Store, ask the attendant for a very good, high bacterium "Probiotic" take this as directed on the bottle for at least a week, and you may just want to stay on them, they will not hurt you, or afterwards eat a lot of good brand yogurt, it also contains good bacteria, but get the Probiotics first to repleniish the good bacteria the antibiotics killed off. And if you don't feel better, call your surgeon and describe what's going on. People think just because they have been released, they are supposed to be 100%. Sometimes extra followup or checking in is required, and they do expect you to call for problems.
Cipro makes me feel awful. I wouldn't assume it's dumping syndrome. If all antibiotics are finished, start a good probiotic and Metamucil. It comes in capsules as well as powder. Between the two, I think you will feel better soon.
