Colonic Inertia

Colonic Inertia

Hello first I apologize if my English is not good I just moved in USA. I have had problems with constipation since I can remember my self. 2 Years ago I had a baby and it seams that every thing got worse and now I'm having a huge problem with hemorrhoids too , three years ago I did a colonoscopy and the doc said every thing is fine I was put on Mira lax and for a while it did work but than I wasn't having much results any way few months ago I started a colon cleansing program called colonix  from Dr Natura and boy was it worth for the first time on my life I had bowl movements every day when I woke up and no cramping no pain and even better no hemorrhoids but than after three months It was required that I stop it because of senna, by god since that happen three months ago I'm dying I went about two weeks without any bowl movement and than when I finally had one I thought I will die on bathroom so I ended up in ER and from there to specialist who had me run three test, blood, the one that they check your muscles on rectum and another one that I had to take a pill that 5 days latter had to have EX-ray after all this the doc puts me on prescription called AMITIZA 24 MCG which made me even worse with stomach pain ( that something that I have non stop ) so he called the pills of and told me that I have Colonic Inertia and I'm scheduled for a surgery this Friday so from 03 of March that I went to this Doc not even a month latter and I'm told to have surgery , I'm really scared what will happen to me if I have the surgery or what if not , by the way I just turned 28 years old. Please help me and tell me if you too think I should have more option before the  surgery.

Oh by the way I have been told that 5 days latter after I took the capsule on EX-Ray it did show that still every thing was on my Colon, as far as the other test they were OK.

I am not sure what type of surgery is suggested for you.  However, if it is a total colectomy (also called an ileorectal anastomosis) then I underwent this procedure four years ago and I can give you some information/details of my experience.

I'll watch out for your reply on this posting.

Hey thanks for responding to my comment I still don't know exactly what type of surgery and won't find out until Friday although my doc said it will probably be partial colon removal . But what really bothers me is I feel like we didn't try every option, I started to have this heavy medical problems only since two months and he gave me that prescription than 5 days latter I was told to have the surgery. I will definitely like to be in contact with you.

Thanks again
