Constant diarrahea

H for about 8 months now I've been experiencing chronic diarrhea! I go about 5-8 times a day and I have very little warning that's its coming! I get a really sharp cramping pain and then I have to go right then sometimes I have to run because I can't hold it in. Nothing that I eat seems to change it. I also get really nauseated if I go a few hours between eating and get really bad acid reflux.
It interrupts my life a great deal. Also I used to be ale to drink alcohol with no problems but now if I have even a sip, I get really bad pains and end up on the toilet for a while! My doctor doesn't seem that alarmed by it at all and I don't know what to do next! Please help :(

I saw one about two week ago! He didn't seem to concerned about it to be honest! He just told me to eat more fibre, and to take these metronidazole for a week incase of bacterial infection, but doesn't think that a colonoscopy or any thing else is nessary! But I've now been off the tables for a week
And nothing has changed!

It is time to see a gastroenterologist. There are many things that can cause chronic diarrhea. Anxiety, infection, medications, irritible bowel, autoimmune diseases like chron's and celiac. Tests are the only way to know for sure.
