Crohn

recently had colonscopy which showed erosion terminal ileum. My other symptoms include fatigue constipation followed by diarhea abdominal pain joint pain. I have had several anal fissures and recently anal fistula. My biopsies did not reveal crohn to my dr satisfaction . I am lost for answers. Is it this difficult to get a leper diagnosis? I have had part of my large intestine removed for not working. Scince my dr needs the biopsy to be positive he just wants to treat my constipation and none of my other symptoms. I also get mouth sores when I het all the other symptoms. Is it crohn?

Maybe you should get a different GI....It sounds like the symptoms that I have had in the past and I have been diagnosed with Crohn's for 14 years.  Even if you have to go through some of the same tests a 2nd time....people know their bodies and if you are feeling there is something more, you should have it checked out by someone else.
Good luck!!

Thank you for your responses. I guess my problem is how hard is it to detect crohn. The biopsy in his opion does not show enough. Is this common for those who have been diagnosed with crohns to have several tests before you know what it is?

It does sound like Crohn's.  All the symptoms from the mouth sores to the fissures.  Sooo, are you flared and your doctor isn't treating the flare?

Ask your doc to run a test like PROMETHEUS® IBD Serology 7. It will help him to determine if you have an IBD. Sometimes blood and tissue parameters will change before a full-blown IBD is seen in biopsy.
