Diarrhea with High Eosinophil count?

I have had diarrhea for nearly a week.  Did some initial blood tests (in the middle of the week) out of fear.  Liver and pancreas seemed to check out ok, BUT in my CBC differential my eosinophil count was high -- 16.5%.  The Doc didn't seem too concerned.  But I am, of course.
Any thoughts if the two could be related?
P.S. Having an abdominal ultrasound on Monday.

could simply be a stomach virus. they can last 2 weeks. If you still have it after 10-12 days, then id be concerned about something worse.
