Digestive

I had my gall bladder removed 2 years ago due to a 16 milimeter stone. A few months ago, I began to experience heartburn which has progressively gotten worse, have lost a substantial amount of weight, have little to no appetite, and throwing up bile and stomache acid. Very similar to the symptoms I had prior to my gall bladder surgery. Any general idea as to what could cause this?? It's very concerning to me.
Thank you,
Rebecca

Thank you for your response! I know there is definitely something wrong but wasn't sure what it is...since I have no primary dr nor insurance, I guess my next best option is the ER....

Rebecca, go to your doc and request some testing. Bile reflux can be very damaging to stomach and esophagus and this needs to be checked out. One test you may want to request is an MRCP - non-invasive - but it will give the doc a good structural view of the biliary system. There can be retained or newly-made stones and sludge after gallbladder removal.

In the meantime, if you're not following a low fat diet, consider one.
