Do i have too much acid or not enough?

I have been feeling very anxious and have been having panic attacks. I think because of this, my stomach has been feeling really wierd and uncomfortable possibly due to excess acid, or a lack there of. I told my doctor about it and he said i should take zantac(which causes less acid to be produced). But i then found out that maybe my stomach discomfort is actually caused by a lack of acid in the stomach. And if i take zantac with an already acid lacking stomach it can be bad. So what do you think i should do?

Anxiousness may cause overproduction of acid not the lack of it. Gastric overacidity is felt as upper middle abdominal pain (burning) and often heartrburn.

I would continue with your Zantac.  Where did you get the idea that you may have too little acid?
