Don't think its IBS

Ok will try to keep this short. I am 24 female, otherwise perfectly heathy. I have had lower abdominal pain for the last 4 months that has gotten progressively worse and is now constant. I went to the ER 2 weeks ago it was so bad. Besides this I have an upper right pain that I notcied 2 months ago that gets worse when I eat fatty foods. The lower pain is always there now and it is dull, achy like my organs ache and then gets stabby. Its is almost unbearable sometimes. My stomach is also really loud sometimes and the last week I started to get another symptom, lots of mucus in stool. So far I have had a CT scan, Ultrasound of organs, and a colonoscopy and all are perfectly normal.I have had a few blood tests, not exaclty sure what they checked but all was normal except SEVERE anemia which is now only mild since taking iron daily for over a month. I am so afraid to eat I lost about 8 or 9 pounds in the last month or so. I can only eat when I am absolutely starving. My bowel movements have been normal besides the recent mucus lots of it, no diarea or constipation. I have tried Levsin as well as Bentyl, and Bentyl only seems to have made it worse and Levsin was no help. I don't feel this is IBS b/c the lack of constipation or diarea, but my GI doc seems to want me to take the Bentyl and go away. My general doc just tells me to deal with them since they are treating me. So does anyone have any ideas on what it could possibly be? I am thinking of also seeing an OB/GYN to rule out anything there or just switching from a family practice to an internest. Also in my history I had a miscarriage around Nov, but have had normal exams since and have gotten a few severe UTI's in the past, with fever and vomiting. I just want something to be done because I am in constant debilitating pain!

Have a colonoscopy to check if you have a tortuous colon.  I'm 30 and found out that is the reason I was having the same type of pain/ mucous you are.

I have had some similiar symtoms.  I am also a 23 year old female who has had lots of testsand am perfectly healthy!   I have also had mucus in my stool before, lots of it, and horrible cramping, (but I also would have diarrah).  Since I cut out the fat I don't have problems,(I only eat rice and potatos)  but even if I eat chicken I will get severe abdominal pain.  I'm not sure if your bowel is spasing and thats what is cuaseing the pain, but if it is try hyocosamine, a muscle relaxant (I am not sure what Bentl is- but take these medicines BEFORE eating to relax your bowel.  They worked for me for a year and a half!  Try cutting fat out of your diet, too.  Everything has fat in it, so be careful.  Not sure if this will help you but it may be work a try.
