Enlarged Spleen

I been sick since Oct 2011 I have a enlarged spleen and liver and doctor can't find anything wrong he told me what ever I do don't fall and leaves me hanging! I have several DIAHRIAA last 2 weeks and stops for about a week and starts again went down 6 pant sizes have pain on left side I sleep during the day I can't stay awake I sleep around 6 to 7 hrs during the day and sleep at night now last week found a huge bump on right side in abit of pain if I bend,sleep in that side could that have something to do with the spleen to be enlarged? I am about to give up on these greedy fake doctors in NY!  Idk what to do I am so tired of these doctors that give me a run around.. Help

ny state has the worse health care.! I still going I leave sat morning n coming back tues so if they do anything I would be very happy if not then atleast I got out of my apt looking at 4 walls since. Oct and BTW I use to live in pa so they have better health care better doctors but ill let u know if they did anything when I get back

I would not recommend going to the ER.  They are not set up to treat/test for/diagnose a chronic problem.

Actually been waiting for second opion since Jan old gas doc was giving me a run around so been up all night in pain I am going to pa er will probably get a faster aswer there then I do in NY LOL

That's actually pretty quick to get in to see a GI doctor in only one month.  I hope you find out more at this appointment.

I don't have mono just got a call from new gast doc won't be able to see me till June 6 that's why I have no choice to go to PA er ill never get a answer here I guess they like to see me suffer

Have they checked you for mono?  Mono can definitely cause an enlarged spleen (not sure about the liver) - and the enlarged spleen can stick around for a long time after the initial illness.

Had a ct scan and Liver Sccan and blood work that's it. So I requested my records and now I found a new gast doc but they have to review my records
