Fecal body odor

Hi

I am 27 year old male. I am suffering from a strange body odor which I suspect is coming from my back passage(anus). I am dealing with this since April 2007. I have tried everything which includes odor cleanse.Nothing has helped . I have also tried altering my diet. That did not work either. I have a feeling of incomplete evacuation and I always feel the need to empty my bowel. Lately I have seen a Gastro .he prescribed me with Imodium,Distenil(contains Simethicone and Activated Charcoal) and Mebeverine. I am quite satisfied with the results . I feel complete satisfaction in the stomach after going to the toilet. The smell has also reduced a bit but still remains. The Doctor is assuring me that if I continue with the same medicines for 4 months my odor problem will be resolved. Please advice me something what to do and all/;

I have also done test of sigmoidoscopy and it came out to be absolute normal.

Change diet to better foods and stay away from dairy and fatty, fast foods. Try eating nuts, fruits, and vegetables.

I think my issues with fecal body odor started back in junior high. A couple friends would say "dude you smell like s..t" and id reply back the same like " nah dude you smell like s..t" not knowing I actually did,and we'd laugh. I remember in jr high sweating a lot when it was lunch time and when I got nervous, but those are nervous sweaty times, so I thought nothing of it. Then in high school I noticed I could smell myself. Like a rotten egg/sulfur smell. It wasnt a mental thing either b/c people would move away from me in class and make comments under their breath.I remember one teacher who would make rude comments and close his classroom door as I would approach walking down the hall to my next class,so my smell would not infiltrate his classroom.  Im 25 years old living at home and just had my first conversation about this with a family member whos been immune to it most of the time but has never commented.I havent been able to hold a job or keep a girlfriend. Long story short, I basically dropped out of H.S. junior year and began my path to self medication. Not talking about this with anyone and trying to ignore all the comments and nose holders. I was fairly smart and wanted to go to college. Instead I kept my problem to myself, well except for those who had to tolerate my foul odor. For the last few years I basically became a shut in. Feeling not able to deal with all of the looks and comments from passers by. Im glad I found these forums and I know that Im not the only one who suffers from this. Im going to seek treatment so I can try to get my life back. Its very ironic how funny and sad this whole fecal odor matter can be. Im posting this so if any youngsters read this your not alone and it looks like their is help/a solution. Dont drop out of school/life take care of your problem before you screw your life up as I did.
