Hi, last year I started having lots of health issues, prior to that I've always been pretty healty, exercising and eating healthy. I'm 41 years old and in March of 2010 I had brain surgery to clip an unruptured aneurysm. Then 3 months later I had a laparoscopic appendectomy. I also have prostate problems (chronic prostatitis) & stomach problems. And I have been diagnosed with IBS, GASTRITIS, DIVERTICULOSIS.
Last year I went through lots of tests & lots of doctors: multiple CAT scans, MRI, ultra sounds, upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, blood work, 3 ER visits, etc. So far all the tests came back negative. Most of the doctors, including my father who is a psychiatrist, recommended taking antidepressants, saying that a lot of my issues were self manifested. I tried Paxil & Celexa, after a week I stopped because I felt worse, not for me.
My question is: For the longest time now my stools have been flat off and on. But now it seems that my stools are always flat and smaller pieces. I'm also having lots of gas bloating. It's been 8 months since I had a upper and lower endoscopy, should I ask my doctor to perform the procedure again? Can all this be from the IBS?
Thanks.
