Please post your question as a separate post because this one is so old.
My 3 year old daughter also has these small fleshy bits when she poo. Can u tell me what causes these? Thanks
AllyE--yesterday my 12-month-old managed to break through the barrier to the room where our Christmas tree still stands while I was in the bathroom. I came out and there he was sitting in front of the TV chewing a christmas tree ornament to shards. I could not believe it. I was paranoid. The glass or ceramic (not sure) that the baby boot ornament was made from was actually quite sharp. I didn't actually see him swallowing any but he definitely had some around his mouth and logic says he probably did.
Today his first stool was at 3:15pm shortly after a long nap. I was scared to look, but sure enough it looked exactly as you described your son's poop. I am scared, and debating whether to take him in to the hospital. This was definitely NOT a liquid, but more like you said....a red fleshy (almost exactly like a raw filet mignon steak) color with a membrane-like skin/film lining it. Have you found out anything about what this was?? Please advise!
hi,
My kids use to ahve the red blood in their stool, they says that it could be a vessles that breaks when pooping too much. does he cry when he is pooping, the reason I am asking is my older son sometimes cried when he pooped, but not always and they tested it poop and it too was normal, however they discovered that he had an annual fischer (I think that is how you spell it) it is a little tear it the rectum form pooping, they think Nathaniel got it from potty training and trying to force it out.
Good Luck, all I can is if you think something isn't right which in my opinon no blood should ever be in a stool, then take him and take him until something is done, oh I forgot, my 9 year old has blood in his stool, come to find out it was an allergy to his formula(well he was only 5 months old) so this could be a food allergy
Agin good luck
