About 6 months ago i was diagnosed with a large stone in my gallbladder after having 3 very bad attacks in a short space of time, i had a scan and it showed 1 large stone, i was offered to be referred to have it out or try a diet change, i decided on the diet change as i am overweight and ate a bad diet, so since then i have lost 24lbs and have been much better, no attacks since then, but i still get pain sometimes in my stomach if i overeat, and as in last night was woken with acid and pain (not as bad as an attack but) and this morning it is still not "right" uncomfortabel and indegestion, I have managed to convince myself now that i have something much worse, and was wondering can the gallstoneAcute cholecystitis (gallstones) Gallstones Gallstones, cholangiogram Kidney cyst with gallstones, ct scan cause these problems as well as just having attacks, can gallbladder problems cause indegestion and stuff without the attacks
If the diet is helping, you might also want to talk to your doc about trying to dissolve the gallstoneAcute cholecystitis (gallstones) Gallstones Gallstones, cholangiogram Kidney cyst with gallstones, ct scan instead of having to have surgery at some time in the future. You may or may not be a candidate for the stuff you'd have to take to dissolve it. But keep in mind that many docs think it's easier to do surgery than to dissolve it, so you might have to push a bit if you are a candidate.
thanks
