Gas Or Constipation

Sir,  I m male and my age is 25. I have constipation from my childhood. 4-5 years back I had gas problem also. But it was happening very rarely. But whenever gas was in my stomach and I went to toilet, no stools came, only gas and some spit came.

3 years back, this gas problem became severe up to today. Now I maintain my diet very well. But still Gas and constipation is creating problem. If I eat in the night after 9.00 pm, I will definitely get constipation next day morning. If I eat before it, there will be no constipation. But still, when I go to toilet, it will not become totally empty. Some heaviness still remains there.

And Gas, it happens daily now. I normally feel gas in my left side of stomach. If I go to toilet, gas will come out but not completely and spit will also come sometimes. After 1/2 hour gas will again create problem. If I don't go to toilet for 2-3 hrs, it will start making sound from my left side of stomach and start vibrating in my rectum. Belching or burping is also there. Whenever I sit cross-legged, belching will become frequently.

Sometimes, I also feel bubbling in my arms, in my legs, in my thigh. I don't understand what is this?

Sir, If you can help me or guide me that's what is my problem and what can I do for this, I will be highly obliged.

Thanks
Suresh

Or you may go this way: Exclude only sugar for 2 days and observe result. If no improvement, exclude another food group from above list and so on. Do not totally exclude all vegetables to avoid constipation, but exclude raw vegetables.

Burping/belching is usually from H. pylori infection of the stomach. You need testing for H. pylori. If positive, treatment is with antibiotics.

Gas collecting in the colon, and causing left abdominal bubbling is probably from certain food you eat. It may be from
- fibers (a lot of fruits, vegetables or cereals)
- sugar
- beer or other alcohol
- potatoes
- dairy products.

You can EXCLUDE all about foods for 2 days, and see if it helps. You can eat bread, rice, eat, fish, nuts...but not above foods.
