H Pylori

Hello Everyone,
I am 38 years old, I have been suffering from the IBS for few years now, but I was able to manage the symptoms so far, until last year when I started feeling heartburn, after consulting with an internist I was diagnosed positive for H Pylori(UBT Test), the doctor advised to treat it using triple therapy(Pantazol 40mg, Ospamox 1000mg, Avalox 400mg) for seven days, I managed to take it only for 4 days, then I agreed with the doctor to stop it because I was having very strong side effects(severe abdomen, back & Joints pain), dizziness, headache, sleep disorder, nightmares,.... couple months later I have checked with a gastroenterologist, he suggested an endoscopy which I did couple of days back, the Esophagus and Duodenum were normal, for the stomach the doctor said that I have light inflammation and Hiatus Hernia, he mentioned that I should not worry for the Hernia because it is common and does not make any problems, but the H pylori is still there and need to be treated, he prescribed Ospamox 1000mg and Tavanic 500mg for 14 days,
based on my experience with this therapy I asked the doctor if I don't tolerate this treatment again what are my other options? he said in that case I have just to forget it because it is not doing big harm to my stomach,

can someone please advice and give a second medical opinion about my case,

Thanks

Nouri

Thanks for the reply
I have finished 14 days antibiotics course 2 weeks back and I feel cramps and burning sensation in my left and right upper abdomen every time I eat which I did not have before the treatment, is that normal? Can the antibiotics create problems rather than helping
The doctor advised for ubt test two weeks after the treatment, is that right? I thaught it should be done after six weeks minimum

Thanks
Nouri

Yes. The magazine "Scientific American" had an outstanding article on this infection, the treatments and prognosis. I can't remember the issue. Do a google search.
