Thank you for the information it was very helpful. I did notice while taking the antibiotics that the lump got a slight bit bigger then two or three days was back to the same size. I have also noticed if I am sitting and have that side of my face resting on my hand it will tingle and go numb.
Hi there,
The oral cavity harbours H pylori and may be the source of infection and transmission. A physical examination of the lump is essential for correct diagnosis and management. The common possibilities are enlarged lymph nodes, cysts, benign and malignant tumors. A sebaceous cyst may be filled with pus, dead skin cells and feel like a lump. Most salivary gland tumors are benign. In malignant tumors there may be facial paresis, pain or facial nerve paralysis. Since your lump has been lasting since 3 years without any significant increase or abnormal symptoms it seems unlikely to be malignant. See an ENT specialist at the earliest. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. I hope it helps.
Best luck and regards!
