HELP, mild chronic gastritis with chronic nausea :(

HELP, mild chronic gastritis with chronic nausea :(

I've been sick for almost 2 months now and I've been diagnosed with mild chronic gastritis after doing the endoscopy. I feel nauseous all the time, especially when i'm taking the train. However, i've taken a lot of tests and it proved that I am fine.

However, the doctor prescribed Pariet but it has only a little effect on me. I feel nauseous all the time and taking the antinausea medicine doesnt work very well. I used to be a very happy and hyper person. Now the nausea that is always there, I can't laugh as hard as I want now. I can't make people happy anymore. It has made me a very frustating, bad tempered person. I cry much more easily now.

I have stopped drinking and i'm not a smoker. I've been on a stricter diet now. I'm really sad. is there any way to stop the nausea. Is the nausea actually due to my gastritis. and what is actually 'MILD chronic gastritis' when it is not mild at all.

PLEASE HELP ME. I'm only 16 years going on 17. how am i supposed to survive my years ahead?

Thanks :'(

I too have chronic nausea and had an endoscopy done along with a ct scan. My results showed nothing therefore my dianosis is still a mystery. I too had to give up drinking which ***** and now barely hang out with friends. My dr has me on zofran and phenergan as needed for the nausea. For the most part the pills work but the nausea always returns. A few things that help my nausea is chewing peppermint gum or drinking canada dry gingerale. I hope this can help for you as well. Also I would get a second opinion because you are so young. If you get this under control or find a cure please let me know.....

hello, i have had mild chronic gastritis and gerd both for the past 8 years. i know exactly what your describing. although yes gastritis does cause nausea ALL THE TIME trust me i feel your pain, the docs found out that actually chronic digestive issues like gastritis can cause gallbladder malfunction. i got my gallbladder tested and it barely works and come to find out it causes more nausea than gastritis does. please go and get your gallbladder tested because it could be a major contributor to your nausea.

well i actually haven't been to surgery yet, you see i had a cck scan and found out that my gallbladder only works 15%, so basicaly its failed. i have no choice but get it removed the 20th. as for nausea i've been told already by my surgon that i should have much less nausea once this procedure is completed. sadly enough the gastritis will still cause mild discomfort. i have been on ppi meds for the past 2 years. they seem to help alot with reflux. alright so gastritis doesn't last forever, but i must tell you chronic gastritis unfortunately may take a couple months to releive. i've had mine so long only because i haven't changed my lifestyle. to get rid of it you must take it suriously(and i know you are.) please start eating and drinking the most healthy you can. drink all natural teas and also drink lots of water tap or not. also keep excercising if your not because it will boost your immune system. lastly chamimile tea and ginger pills are very good with nausea. you may also try meditation.

also i've been through tests myself. 1. gastric emptying scan, barium x-ray, even had blood tested, and endoscopy (wich is how they found my gastritis ). but trust me it can very well be releived. i haven't made any good choices. i drink, smoke, eat junk, etc. and now im reaping the rewards. make sure you eat low-fat and high fiber. and absolutely very little non caffeinated beverages. i know its a lot to go through, but at least your not on an 8 yr spree like i am. its too late for me, BUT NOT FOR YOU. i wish you all the best and i hope you succed..

Omg, thank you very much! because normally I'm a very positive and level headed. But due to the nausea, I've become really pessimistic, especially towards myself. And I feel nauseous all the time, which is really bad. And I feel like a burden towards my family. However, my Mom actually brought me to a chinese doctor. Which actually diagnosed that my missed periods are the cause of my nausea. (I wonder if it's true) but i decided to give it a try and the chinese medicine tastes really horrible. Hmm, I will try to go back to my regular exercises but I feel nauseous all the time hence I stay home all the time.

However, the chinese doctor said that my gastritis has been cured. But I still feel nauseous. And I PRAY that it is my missed period that actually has been causing this. So it means when it comes, I will definitely be fine! Anw THANKS ALOT ALOT ALOT for the support and the good advices. I still have the nausea now, which is damn bad. I still can laugh as loud as I want.

BTW, does missed periods actually cause nausea?
