HELP!

I am a 22 year old female. Currently, my bowel movements have been normal....normal color, consistency, etc. However, I am passing blood with them. It is not bright red; it is a dark maroon color. There seems to be none in the bowl, but I could be wrong. It is on the paper and mixed in with the stool. Also, when passing gas, I pass a dark pinkish color onto paper as well. And on occasion, the passing gas also passes little pieces of pale stool that float.

I am freaking out. HELP!

Well now...just now....it was all bright red blood. I am so confused. I went to the ER last night because there was so much...and they performed a rectal exam....which produced no blood. So, today, as disgusting as it sounds, I took pictures to prove I'm not crazy.

you may have hemmeroids, or an anal fissure; however maroon stool suggests a more proximal source of bleeding.  have you blood level checked and have a doc perforn a flexible sigmoidoscopy.
