biopsy results

I had a endoscophy june 2009, Gastronoligist said I had barretts esphogus, but it was very miniscule, also was confirmed by biopsy results.  I have been on prilosec for over a year 60 mg 2 x a day and carafate sometimes along with gaviscon. I have been worrying about this for over a year, and gave up many things I enjoyed.
I was having burning in my stomach for the  last month. so had a repeat endoscophy, got results back from dr, and he said pathology report said no sign of barrett's esphogus, and every thing was fine, he said burning was caused by bile in my stomach, so now I am taking priolec 4 mg 2 x a day and back on carafate 4 times a day.  I should be joyful, but I am also worried and  confused, because I thought this never goes away, and you always have it,  could I have been misdiagnosed by pathology. or does it get better and go away.
please answer asap, should I contact dr again, I have both reports from dr.
thanks doris

hi i am amazed how similar our stories are, i also was diagnosed with barretts last year and upon another endoscopy this year, i was told i didnt have barretts, however mine was done by 2 diff doctors. i am also very confused and dont know what to believe, but im thinking of getting another opinion from a diff doctor. good luck with ur situation, i know how hard it is to go through this.

If you have questions I would talk to my Dr. about it and you can all ways get a second opinion.
I had an endoscopy as well my results just showed inflammation and my Dr told me that Prilosec is the answer but it wasn’t I’m still having problems and I told her so. So I had to come up with some way to help myself so I started taking Zantac 150 and Prilosec at the same time at night and Zantac in the morning it helped more. I’ll be seeing a new Dr. in a couple of weeks
