IS THIS GERD OR WHAT

Hi about 6 years ago i was diagnosed with sinusitis. Since then it reoccurs once in a while especially during wet seasons. About five weeks ago i heard a repeat episode and i went in to see an ENT. I complained of bloatness, burping and tightness in the chest. He decided to treat me for GERD and gave me the tripple omeprazol treatment. 2 days after i completed the dose i started to have peppery feeling in my chest, back, stomach, sides and still with the bloatness and constipation. I was placed on tagament and the peppery feeling subsided. Now the bloatness as subsided, but i still get the occassional heavy chest and the peppery feeling before a meal or after an oily meal

You need to see your GP for a good check-up to make sure there isn't something else causing this.  With GERD you normally suffer more during or after a meal, and I don't think it has anything to do with your bloating, and burning other places in your body.  With GERD the burning is confined to the throat, espohagus and stomach. Take care.

Doesn't sound like GERD to me either and I've had it for over 20 years. Could be Colitis which is inflamed bowel, or something else. Get another opinion. Get well.
