Is It Gallbladder Problems or IBS?

I have been have these symptoms for over 10 years. I was just reading how the symptoms of each condition are very Simla! So I'm thinking I could have one thing? When it could be the other? Well, I do have Acid Reflux (I take Prilosec) been having that around the same time as the other symptoms. The only reason I have brought up these issues to my doctor? Cause its getting on my nerves. I'm sick and tired of the: stomach pains (under the ribs or at times below? They last for a while), being bloated, gassy, diarrhea, constipation, fullness, vomiting (sometimes especially something did not agree with me?), and burping food backing up in my mouth or tasting the bile from my stomach? I go to the GI doctor this month on the 21st! But, I still would like to hear input! Thanks in advance!

I am having the same symptoms as you did except no acid reflux. I did have an ultrasound done and I do have gallstones. My question is did you ever get your gallbladder removed and how do you feel because now?

I'm sorry you are having so many problems!  Getting your gallbladder checked out sounds like a very good idea.

Thank you very much for the break down....last night I was feeling so sick--I could not eat a thing. I was going to eat soup. But, I was feeling so nauseated. I took my medication and sat up have of the night. Waking up feeling gassy and sick on my stomach again. Finally ate the soup--that ran threw me in no time (very loose stool and stomach pains all over again!) Ugh! This has to be my gallbladder.....my goodness!

GERD is more of a disease where as acid reflux is more of a symptom.

GERD is basically the same thing as acid reflux.  Gall stones are usually looked for with an ultrasound.

Well my GI doctor is going to perform a n Upper Endoscopy & Colonoscopy on me next month. She said it sounds like I have GERD....instead of Acid Reflux? She also stated it might be my gallbladder and I could have gall stones? I told my mother my symptoms she said the same thing as the GI doctor....ugh! She (my mother) had hers removed for the same reason's above! Smh! I'm just tired of feeling miserable!!!!

That would go along more with gallbladder or acid reflux, however that can occur with IBS too.

Yes, I get very much worse after eating: greasy, fried, and/or fatty foods (which I don't eat but, twice a month--and my husband cooks it). Plus, it makes my Acid Reflux flare up and yes, I really get nausea and then vomit! Ugh!

Are you having any nausea?  Do your symptoms get any worse when you eat fatty foods?
