Is white foamy saliva an indication of reflux/GERD?

I have been having white foamy saliva for over a month now and my throat has a slight burning sensation in it sometimes. The white saliva seems to be giving my tongue a white coating also. The doctor first thought it was a fungal infection and gave me diflucan (2 150mg pills) and nystatin oral fluid, neither of them did anything at all so i stated to doubt is was a fungal infection since everyone says diflucan is very effective against fungus. My saliva is still white and I am trying to figure out if my saliva and tongue can be related to acid reflux. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

Every now and again I suffer from this. it feels like I have a huge ball of spit in my throat that gets bigger and bigger each time I swollow. I usually force myself to vomit to empty my stomach.  I would say that it is caused by dehydration and to much acid.  Not a nice feeling :(

i have this same problem, did u fix it? how?
Stinky breath definitely can be part of sinusitis.  Dehydration is also a common reason for breath issues.  Relating to GERD,  I've read that this is actually being studied (gerd and sinusitis relationship). This is a hot medical topic.  They've found that treating gerd early, for example, eliminates the sinus issue.  Good question!  It may help to start your own thread though to get more responses!
