Liver Problem, bleeding and infection

My friend has stage 3 or 4 cirrhosis. He has been sober
now for 2 months. He is 44 years old.

He recently got an infection and has a high temp. He is in the
hospital on IV antiboitics since Friday.

His bilirubin count is about 11. Another level was his clotting
factor, which was a about a 5.  He is extremily jaundiced.

Leading up to the infection, he had dental work which resulted in
a lot of bleeding.

Will my friend be Ok?

Yes, but does this include anyone going through a liver transplant, or is this just a recovery with TP?

Your friend has a chance if he stays sober. He must turn his will and his life over to a higher power and he has a shot. I have heard of amazing recovery stories. I know a person with stage 4 and he is sober and doing better every day. Give your friend a copy of AA, the big book if he doesn't have one already. If he is able to read or focus in his current state, he may find experience, strength and hope through reading. There is a story of a man in the book who had stage 4 cirrhosis at 40 years old. He quit drinking throgh the help of AA and a higher power and was interviewed at 75 years old when he was running 10k's and hiking the mountains of Idaho. It's in the book, that may help your friend.
