Low Stomach Acid and Digestion

What I can't understand is this.  People who have a complete gastroscopy i.e. removal of stomach, can still digest food, whereas I have low stomach acid and am having problems digesting food.  Can anybody explain this please?

You need stomach acid to be able to properly digest food, if yours is low you'll have difficulty to digest. There's a lot of natural things you can take to promote acid in your stomach, just google it. Hope you'll feel better.

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing those ppl take a crazy amount of digestive enzymes. Maybe you should do the same to help you digest your food.
