Did you actually get diagnosed by a Dr or is that what you are just thinking you have? How big are they? I've had MRSA for almost ten years now. Originally I had over 50 boils, and no doctor had a clue. I saw like a million doctors and specialists, no one had a clue. I finally diagnosed myself and forced them to culture me, and it was positive.
I was officially diagnosed by my obgyn. She was the doctor I went to see about the abscess that had been drained improperly by another doctor. Then finally she ran a test with a swab test of my groin, armpits and nares. It came back only negative in my nares, but she said I am a carrier.
I was tested before then in the bloodstream and was found positive on blood-work. I have been placed on several meds to treat it but have only been proven negative one time, and doctors have to test you negative 2 times to take a person from the list. Whatever that means. I was told, "You have it for life so deal with it" by my Endocrinologist. No further treatment has been done.
As for size of the boils they are like a pimple size and are red with white heads. They don't really itch, just want to clear them up.
I've found bactroban to be effective
will have to try bactroban thanks
Hi!! How often do you apply bactroban? And do you also apply it into your nostrils? I also have the same problem.
