Abdominal Pain

I am 54 yr old white female.  Had my gallbladder removed 4 yrs.ago.  I now have suffered 5 attacks similar to gb attacks w/o vomitting and nausea.  The tightness in my stomach during these attacks is right under my diaphram.  Sometimes after eating, I feel like the food never moves and I become bloated (but not in my lower abdomen), just in my upper stomach.

I was wondering if I may have a blockage or stones.  My dad had a similar problem after his gallbladder removed and had a stint inserted.  Also, is this hereditary?

It is not inherited - at least not from what is known to date.

I can't tell you what it is but I sympathize! I have the same problem and had gb removed 9/07. I also have no nausea or vomiting. I can't figure it out. Hope you get answers. Best of luck.
