I think it is unlikely that you are having a stomach ulcer that is causing off and on problems.
I don't use it regularly, only when I have acid problems (maybe once a month). It only takes 1 pill and my stomach ulcer (or whatever it is) disappears completely. It really is amazing.
PPI's (like nexium) are pretty well known to cause an increased risk of fractures, I believe due to poor calcium absorption. How long ago did this happen?
Wiw, interesting but I sure didn't have that experience. ENT doc's kept giving me that on and off, never noticed a difference with my mouth Nd throat issues. One Doc told me to stay on it at least 3 months. Long story, but I started having bad muscle pain in low back, flanks and tops of my thighs then had a left rib fracture of unknown cause. No warnings on the Nexium at that time but I stopped it. I did report it to the FDA. After 4 days the pain went away. Must have been other reports because now I see warnings.
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! That isn't the way Nexium works (by dealing with stress, therefore dealing with acid production); it is a proton pump inhibitor and you can read up about that if you want to know more. It is also a "slow release" medication so it seems strange that it would be like a magic bullet and make you feel better. Are you sure this isn't from something else? Also, if you are only taking it for this reason, you should know about this risks.
I havent but I will ,nice to get a positive story thanks a lot ....
