No Answers to My Stomach Issues

Everyday I wake up I am nauseous, throw up when trying to brush my teeth, and have such a tender stomach that I can't even lay my arm on because of the pain. I do not have reflux, but do take prescription meds for it anyway.  I have had a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, and stool sample done with no apparent answers.  I have been checked for H. Pylori, Crohns, and Celiac. I could somewhat control the symptoms with diet (no greasy foods, caffeine, chocolate, OJ, etc.) but it has gotten much worse.

A few years back I went to a specialist in Chicago who was an M.D. Without any major tests, she put me on Flagyl for 2 weeks, followed by oral Nystatin for 3 months.  ALL PROBLEMS DISSAPPEARED!  For about 6 months I felt great, but slowly after that the symptoms came back.  I could not afford to go back to the specialist since insurance did not cover it.  When I went to my PCP and at least 3 different gastro docs, they all said that would only work if I had H. Pylori, and they would not treat me with it.  I finally got a dr. to do it, but would not follow up with Nystatin.  All issues went away, but a couple of weeks later the symptoms came back.  The doctors won't do another round of the Flagyl.  and I am at the end of my rope.  Why something that apparently works means there is apparently an bacterial infection/overgrowth of something, but no one seems to take it seriously.  I used to force myself to eat something in order to combat the nausea and relieve the stomach pain, but that is no longer working.  I don't know what to do!  Can you help?

Have you had a Gastric Emptying Study to see if your stomach empties slowly? This could be a possible cause for your pain. For now, I would try some bitters or iberogast to get you through the rough parts.

Did anybody do an ultrasound to check your gallbladder?  Or have you had that out already?  If no stones show, you would still need a HIDA scan with CCK.  The ultrasound would also check your pancreas and liver at the same time.

I had my gallbadder out for stones when I had symptoms like yours.  I also have Celiac, but I also got a lot of relief recently when I took a week of Ceftin generic for a UTI.  It sped up my digestion and almost made it normal and I felt much better!  So I'm thinking part of my problem is a bacterial overgrowth also.  I feel your pain.
