Oily Stool

Oily Stool

I have recently been struggling with bad acid - even my back pains and my chest as well as in my breast tissue. I have had 2 x lap nissen procedures already. I have noticed that I have oily stools. When I take Nexium 40mg per day it relieves the pain from excess acid. I have struggled since Oct with extreme pains under my right breast -onto the actual ribs etc and was diagnosed with Costo ??  Nothing helped ! Nexium took 95% of symptoms away though - coincidence you think?

Rashes accompany celiac disease. You may want to consider getting checked for that. And celiac disease can also result in changes in gallbladder functioning - typically an over-active gallbladder ejection fraction.

Oily stools typically indicate fat malabsorption. Causes for this problem can be linked to pancreatic issues or problems like celiac disease. You mentioned pain under your right breast. Have you been evaluated for gallbladder dysfunction? Cases of gallbladder issues can tie into pancreatic problems as well. Consider rechecking what is going on with your doctor.

Thanks for taking time to reply to me.

I have been checked for gallbladder about 2 years ago and there was no problem. I feel like a hypochondriac I have been back and forward so often. Unless I stay on Nexium, I have pain all on right side of rib-cage, under the breast tissue (even was sent for mammo which was clean) and if I press and prod too much on the tissue it gets so sore. Pain was even in my spine and over right shoulderblade.
I am certainly not malnourished (if it means that you are very thin). I am in fact about 7kg overweight according to Weight watchers.
