Pain after upper endoscopy

I just had an upper endoscopy due to difficulty swallowing.  I expected to have a little throat pain afterwards which is fine, it's mild.  But ever since I had the first bite of food after the endoscopy, as the food goes down the esophagus it feels like it is passing over glass - sore and painful - especially as it reaches a point about 5 inches above the navel.  Doctor said he never heard of that!  I never had that before....just started with the first meal after the endoscopy, so I know it's related.  Anyone have any ideas?
