Abdominal pains

Hi, I have Coeliacs Disease and also IBS - mainly Constipation related and general abdominal pain.

I have recently had a very bad spell of constipation which has just about cleared now. It lasted for about 2 weeks and took 2 packs of Picolax to sort it. Then I got Gastroenteritis following this just to top it all off.

Now, my bowel movements seem OK but my abdominal pains have changed now. It feels a bit like when you get a "stitch", that kind of pain but all over my tummy. When I put pressure on my tummy it hurts even more and feels like my insides are being crushed.

I just wondered if anyone else experienced this or had any suggestions?

If you are celiac, are you following a gluten-free diet? In addition, do you know if you are cross-reactive to casein, the major protein in dairy? Many celiacs are and for some casein can produce continuing symptoms of diarrhea or constipation.

Hi, Yes my bloods always come back fine. All scans, endoscopys, colonoscopys, barium enemas, ultrasounds - all come back clear and OK - all had done a number of years ago. I don't think the pain is severe enough for Appendicitis but docs poked and prodded my stomach last week and said nothing, although it was very tender everywhere. I think I will  still make an appointment to get checked out again as this pain is different to what I normally experience. Thanks

have you ever had your blood checked? have you had scans done? my husband has simular things happen but he been in pain 9 months and found out after colonoscopies and egd's that he has chronic pancreatitis? have you been checked for appendicits? it kinda feels like a rubber band being stretched through your stomach(well, at least thats how mine felt)? see if your appendix is ok? call the doctor for appt....
