Pancreas

Last year was diagnosed with pancreatitis.  Am again suffering from similiar symptoms.  Hospital told me not to eat till I saw family doctor.  He told me not to eat for 3 days, drink water only.  Symptoms got better starting eating carbs after that.  8months later and similiar symptoms, fatigue, bloating.  Shall I assume the liquid diet for a few days?  Not sure what the doctor or hospital will do other than tell me that and don't want to waste 12 hours in the ER again, let alone the cost.

Thanks.

I am in the same boat as both of you. Did you have acute pancreatitis when it first hit? Have had acid issues for yrs, last yr started getting upper left sided jabs of pain, my lipase was doubled and then remained slightly elevated for at least 2 wks. My pain lasted at least 3/4 months now the pains have come back some...not to the same degree.

I have had so many scans, but pancreatitis does not show. My dad died of pancancer so I am watchful
