Pinworms?

Ok so I have a question re: pinworms. I'm not sure if I have them or not but a few days ago I had some itching and burning sensation on my back side and I thought it was hemroids. It was very bad one day and after I had a bowel movement the sensation went away and I haven't had any trouble since. Well yesterday when I had a bowel movement I noticed a small white long thin object in the toilet afterward and thought it might be a pinworm. I've heard of them but never had a problem with them. Can I still have them? I haven't had any problems since then...no itching...no burning nothing. Can someone help me please? I have a toddler in daycare and I know it's more common in kids so I'm not sure if I got this from her or what! Ahhhhhhh

Pinworms itch and wiggle and yes, come out at night.  They also come in cycles... so a few weeks on and a few off (or similar pattern).  They are small though, not long.  I'd say the size of rice and they do move!

You can call your doctor if you really think you have them.  Usually they just call in a script for everyone in the family.  One pill now and another in 2 weeks (because of their cycle).  Easy treatment!

I had pinworms when I was little. The itching was severe and felt like pins. The worms come out at night, that is when you feel the pain and itching. I remember using Tucks medicated pads to wipe with and they went away. I don't remember having to go on medication, but it was a long time ago.
