I had my gallbladder removed end ofJan 09. The first 2-3 weeks i ate soup and crackers, now i'm eattin reguarly and i started getting sick when i eat anything fried. so i stopped eattin anything fried. I can eat some meat grilled it seems different types of pork make me sick. I just eat poptarts and cereal cause thats the only thing that doesn't makin me sick. i don''t get nausea but i get kinda lite headed, sweat
, and then when i make a bowel movement a couple times i'm fine. Thats what happens when i eat something that doesn't agree with me. I have really eattin and meal for 2-3 weeks. I make tuna cassarole with just mac and cheese tuna sometimes i can eat it and the next time i can't lastnight i ate it and i just feel really gasy and my belly hurts from my rib
cage down when i push on it i get moments of light headedness. I get heartburn a good bit too. I called my surgin and they keep tellin me its normal and it will take months for my liver to get used to not havin a gallbladder, but it seems to be getting worst!
You should get yourself a good digestive enzyme product to take with meals. I have one with the digestive enzymes and ox bile in it along with HCL, I have had not problems eating anything and I am 2 weeks post-op today.
But I am having problems with my ribs
or even semi-fatty foods after GB removal. You may want to consider going on and staying on a low fat diet for several months. It can take some time for a person's body to adjust, and some people need to stay low fat for longer periods of times than others.
foods a problem at the moment leave them out for a bit and concentrate on low fat foods you can eat - before slowly introducing them again.. pork is quite a fatty food and can upset things especially when you no longer have a gallbladder to store and release bile when the extra need arises. poptarts and cearel dont give you an all round supply of nutrients so try and find foods you can eat that dont mess with your digestion - you are still recovering and healing so you need a good supply of nutrients on board to help you heal properly.
