Pregnancy and Diverticulitis

I am 41 with one child and was recently hospitalized/diagnosed with diverticulitis(about 5 months ago). My husband and I got married and began our family later in life and I desperately want one more child.  Surgery was not recommended with my attack.  i was given liquids and antiobiotics for 4 days in the hospital.  I am healthy other than that all though I am not as "regular" as I once was and I sometimes get constipated.  How much risk is involved in getting pregnant?

Hi

I am 31 years old and asking the same question, can I have another child without complications after being diagnosed with diverticulitis.  Have you had any answers yet?

Thats something you should ask your OBGYN.  It probably varies greatly from person to person, though im sure they wont say you cant have a child or something of the sort.  They will probably just moniter you much closer.  But as for the risk in getting pregnant, you are definetly going to need to consult your OBGYN for a somewhat accurate answer.
