Sick of being Sick

I have had reoccurig boughts with nusea/vomiting along with diarreah for years since i was a child i am now 35 years of age and have these episodes at least once a month to every two months and the last about five days then im back to normal they generaly follow dinner and come out of the blue no signs just before. i have no pain other than burning in the rectum from going so much during an episode my doctor has had me go for ultrasounds/nagative, barium test for motility/nagative blood work for polyi something/nagative, and just recently i have gone for blood work to see if im alergic to wheat. currently my doctor has me taking prilosec otc, promethazine aka phenegren, and metoclopramide wich I take 30 min before eating. the phenegren12.5mg did not stop me from vomiting and having the nusea during my most recent spell. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having the same thing happen and if they know what it is i feel my doctor does not know recently he suggested it may be stress and adrenalin dumping from the stress but i don't think im stressed except for this problem wich is begining to take it's toll. any thoughts on this are welcome.

did you mean phenergan? if so, it works great for nausea and some upset stomach issues. Never tried the suppository version of it, it may work different in different areas, due to how it is put into the body, and where lol.

can you list exacly what meds are you taking and for what reason.  YOU entered a controlled diet with a diary to gather specific data. I would also research every med for undertand side effects. Keep us posted.   I'm not a doctor but I suffered with UC for the last 5 years and I had to take control of my life style to control my health.  I hope this helps.

Your not alone. Same age, male, problem started in 98. Only thing thats helped cut the number of attacks down was cutting out soda all together. Watched what foods were heavy with the corn syrup as a sweetner and about 3 times a week drank a strong mug of green tea. Just plain green tea. I know it sounds crazy but it did cut down the attacks. I still have them but only last 3 to 4 days now. Hope this at least will help make it easier to cope.
