you're right I will talk to my doctor though. I see her this monday she might just do some trial medication if symptoms are worse or not improving sending me off for testing.
Well, I wouldn't expect that your gastroenterologist would know what it was connected to (if anything). If you are having any other symptoms/ongoing medical problems I just thought maybe it could be linked to those (mine was). Sometimes the gastroparesis is idiopathic and they don't know the cause or it happens after a viral infection and just doesn't resolve. But a lot of times it is part of another disease process, especially if it is severe GP. I don't know how bad yours was if you had subsequent gastric emptying scans and they were normal. Maybe your GP was transient or chronic but mild, causing few symptoms. Anway, if you are having pain, bloating and nausea after meals, it might be causing you problems again.
I would also add I get hot flashes as well.
My Gastroenterologist could find no real reason for me to have it. He went as far as an endoscopy that only showed some minor inflamation he said it was idiomatic. Though he did say he himself thought stress played a role. As I do suffer from anxiety problems.
If you have had slow motility in the past then it could be acting up again or just getting worse. If you haven't had a gastric emptying scan in three years maybe your doctor should do another one. I have slow motility/gastroparesis, and my symptoms are similar to yours-bloating and (occasional) nausea after eating and reflux problems. What is/was your slow motility linked to, if anything?
I should also note in the past I have been diagnosed with slow motility and reflux however I have had no issues with that for some years. And I have gone through many tests up to age 18 which included upper and lower gi' gasteric emptyings etc.
