Strange abdominal symptoms

I have a appointment with a gastroenterologist on November 2nd, but in the meantime my symptoms are worsening. I have had horrible heartburn and suffer from sour stomach to the point of waking sick out of a deep sleep all year. That happens at least once a month. Its vomiting and diarreah, but thats not what concerns me. Unfortunately I have gotten used to that. I hear my food going through my digestive system, and about 2 months ago, began having a buzzing sensation in my belly around my belly button. The buzzing progressed to going to my sides and belly, then add to that my thighs when I walk. I am at the point now where I have to stop after I take a few steps for it to stop. The buzzing continues, but now there is tingling too. This morning there was also a feeling of muscle tightening through my middle. Its not painful and this lasts about 10 seconds before it loosens up. Then, I'm fine unless I move suddenly, or walk too fast. Just rolling over to get out of bed triggers the tightening, tingling and buzzing. I'm so confused now I don't know what to do. As I said, I have an appointment with the gastroenterologist, but do I also need to see a neurologist? Tonight I also felt it in my chest. I'm not in real pain, just extremely annoying and I want to be back to my normal self again. Do I need to do something in the meantime? Should I wait?

I would wait until you see your GI doc to address your concerns.  The appointment is just around the corner.  Then the GI doctor can refer you to the appropriate kind of specialist if it's necessary.  Good luck

You sound like you are constipated.  It is possible this is triggered by food allergies, but first thing to do is get rid of the backup so you can feel more comfortable.  There are some treatments that are unhealthy to do often, and others that are fine to do all the time if necessary.

Start Miralax.  It is an OTC powder you mix in water.  Use a capful in a glass of water in the morning.  Make sure you won't be far from a bathroom since you don't know how this will act on you.  If no results by evening, repeat in evening.  If this gives you a proper BM, you can continue this.  If it is stronger than you need all the time, switch to Metamucil at this point.  It is a kind of gluten-free fiber that is very healthy.  It even lowers cholesterol.

If neither of these is strong enough, you could use both.  And you could take magnesium citrate tablets every morning.
