Thick mucous during bowel movement

I had been having back pain, nausea, light headedess, abdominal cramps, hot flashes and thick pink mucous instead of feces during bowel movements/ or a mixture of thick mucous and dirrhea. Also have been constipated and have had dirrhea alternately for the last week. The mucous just started yesterday and continues all day today. Most abdominal pain is right after I eat. Any ideas what's going on with my colon/ intestines is much appreciated!!

Still haven't seen a doctor. Mucous is gone, cramps last all day long, soft stools, lightheadedness and hot flashes still persist as well as minor nausea. I have also lost 7 pounds since I last posted. I'll give it one more week of probiotics and eating the brat diet before I go in.  More posts to come!

Even though the mucus is less pink, I would still recommend seeing a doctor about this.

Thanks, the mucous still persists today although it is not as pink. More brown I guess. Still bad cramps, and tightness/ constipation, nausea.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  This could be many different things, but I would highly recommend you see a doctor about this.  You could be having some bleeding in your GI tract which needs to be checked out.
