Burning In Abdominal Area

I have had abdominal pains on the left side for quite some time. I have been in and out of the ER for it. However, for the past 3 days I have been feeling a burning sensation in my abdominal area. Most of the time it does stay in that area. Once, the burning shot up from my abdominal area to my throat and it burned all the way up. Sometimes I feel pressure on my left side when I am in certain positions. I feel sick a lot..a lot of nausea...very tired... I am not pregnant. I do not have a gall bladder, for it was taken out November of 09... also, back when I had my gall bladder out they did find a hiatal hernia in my stomach..i am not sure if this has anything to do with it..any ideas of what this may possibly be??

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Have you seen your regular doctor about this?  Have you seen a gastroenterologist about this?  An ER is not set up to treat chronic problems.
