Ulcers failed all treatments

Hello,

I have gastric ulcers that failed to respond to proton pump inihibitors and also acid blockers.  My ulcers were caused by a fasting experiment gone bad.  I tested negative for H. Pylori.  I am also extremely allergic to certain medicines and was unable to tolerate sucralfate. I was considering trying to use Bismuth (Pepto-Bismol) as I have read article  that Bismuth subsalicylate can heal ulcers http://gut.bmj.com/content/33/2/179.abstract .  However the warning signs on Petpto Bismol say not to take for ulcers.  Is Pepto Bismol harmful for ulcer treatment?  What other options do I have.  I have stopped going to my doctor as I am already greatly in debt, and they also take a very long time to get back to me .  I have tried many alternative therapies with no success.  Please help with any advice Thank you.  I can also be reached by email at ***@****

I have stomach ulcer for ages, and it's really painful whenever it attacks me. Very uncomfortable to move and sometimes I vomit. My doctor advised me to always drink milk and never skip meals, and take Maalox (aluminum hydroxide magnesium hydroxide) every 6 hours. It really helps!

Okay good luck hopeful someone answers for you, this is right out of a medical book. see below.

Alka-Seltzer and Pepto-Bismol also contain NSAIDs, and although they are often taken for ulcer symptoms, they can make the condition worse.

By the way Questionman I stopped taking the meds 5 years ago, I cannot afford the debt and the pills that really do nothing for me, I truly do follow the outline I laid out to you and I hardly belch or have pain like I use to, its real rare now and this is with Chronic Atrophic Gastritis due to NSAID from migranes so no hpolyri. I had more pain on the meds they gaveme then I do now.. I went for my endoscopy last week and my acid has reduced, so good sign, not saying my lay out is perfect but it has really really helped me over the 5 years im not getting any worse at least. So give it a try wishing you the best. :)

Yes, it does not help for long, my grandmother when living with Peptic Ulcers before stomach cancer and ultimately death, tried Pepto result it coated the stomach for an hour and right back to pain and more bleeding, it will not get to the root problem. I have AtrophicGastritis and have found the coating and acid meds are not going to fix a thing. Good luck I know its hard!:)

Take amlaki - find this one online, Lglutamine, DGL, calcium, slippery elm, one cup aloe vera juice, cup of coconut water everyday, and fish oil every day, go vegeterian in diet- yes no meat dairy or eggs and make sure they are not acidic veggies or fruit, practice yoga, should help a lot. I know its a lot but it provides relief. let me know.

I have Atrophic Gastritis.

hi, one remedy you can try, is one table-spoon of pure honey, twice a day for one week, if you can find it in your country, try leatherwood honey.
