Checking in with you to see how your doing?
If you get a referral to a gastro dr tell them you want the hep c test and also first they check for the antibodies and then if they are positive then they will run the test to see if you do have it or not.If it comes back positive DO NOT let your family Dr treat you!!!.You tell the dr you want a Hepatologist to look at you.A hepatologist is a Dr that treats liver problems and is VERY familiar with Hep C.You can be cured if this is what you have.Let me know.I just tested Positive for hep c in March. Will be treating soon. There is a good forum on here about hep c and you can learn a lot.Ive learned alot since March.
PS Most people dont know they have hep c until they have symptoms .Like I said it is not a test they routinly do,you have to ask for it. Let me know...cindy
No Hep C antibodies found nor any other infectious diseases. Most of the symptoms have remarkably gone now. I wish you all the best for your treatment. I have herd that the treatment for Hep C is very successful.
Best of luck,
Dan
