Upper stomach cramps

I have had upper stomach crampy sort of feeling for about a 3 weeks now. I have i.b.s. and went on a strict i.b.s. diet but didn't help. Thought is was an i.b.s. flareup. the feeling comes and goes all day long.Nothing I eat makes it worse or better. has anyone else had this feeling,if so what did you do?

did a qualified psychiatrist diagnose you with IBS, or just an MD who couldn't find the root of the problem.
I had a gallbladder problem and was labled with IBS. So be careful. Get more testing done

My exdoc told me it was i.b.s. because i told him I was bloated and was having a little more constipation.,but that could be because of my thyroid disease. I went to see a different doc today because my regular doc is away til end of month. He poked and prodded and it didn't hurt anywhere. He said it could be an i.b.s. flareup. He also said to try taking zantac 75 twice a day for a week to see if it helps. I have a little bit of bloating off and on too, so maybe it could be an i.b.s. flareup. I was diagnosed a year ago. I had a small flareup andwatched what I hate and went away in about 3-4 days. I'm trying to get my brother to find the book he has with the diet in it.You eat practically next to nothing. What kind of test do you have for i.b.s. testing?
