Vagus questions

I'm wondering if there is any relationship between issues like gastroparesis or atrial-fibrillation and the health of the Vagus nerve. If so, can you either strengthen or maybe lessen the sensitivity of the nerve?  Can diabetes have an effect on the condition of the Vagus nerve?  If there is damage, is it reversible?  Please explain how.

I explained my symptoms to my DR. and he said it was my vagus nerve. The only time it has ever bothered me was during episodes of diarreah. Last Sun in church it happened without any episodes of the diarreah. My Dr.said to lay down prone on the bed and if the blood pressure and heart rate does not start to come down in an hour. to take another(yet different) blood pressure pill, but know one can tell me why this happens.

I would like to hear some comments also. I strongly believe that the damage or pressure on the vagus nerve can create Gastoparesis symptoms along with many other sideaffects.
Ive been through helll....And still there!
