Hi, I just found out your comment. My son who is 10 is having the same problem. I am so desperate. How is your son doing? I do not know what to do. His doctor says that everything is normal, but night after night he vomit and the next day he is fine. Let me know how your son is doing. Take care Jenny

my eight year old boy has been waking up every other night sick once but coughing the sick then goes back to sleep wakes up next day and is fine and eats normal then he can go a night sleeping through then wakes again the next night doing the same but not acting ill at all went to the doctor he think it might be asthma dont know what to do please advise
I was watching Mystery Diagnosis and they had a similar story to yours the child would vomit once per night and then fall right back asleep and wouldn't have any memory of it the next day. They did a sleep study and discovered that she was actually having a seizure that would induce the vomiting episode. She was put on medication for seizures and it stopped the vomiting. Just a suggestion.
My 9 year old granddaughter is doing pretty much the same thing. She has milk and peanut allergies and asthma. The doctors don't think allergies are the cause, but don't know what is. She has been to the emergency room during an "attack" and they didn't find anything out. She will undergo more tests next week, but I wondered if you had any more information.
My son is 10 and has had similar bouts with nighttime vomiting. He has milk and egg allergies that cause vomiting, but he never has anything that he is allergic to that would trigger this. He says his burps taste like "cheerios" and he gets severe stomach pain until he vomits. Once in a while he gets a sharp pain in his chest muscle (maybe growing pains), and a mild headache as well. Then he is fine for the night and the entire next day. But come 2 or 3 in the morning, it happens again. I took him to the ER one morning because I was afraid of Appendicitis. It was ruled out, as was an intestinal blockage. Blood tests were also normal. This has been happening off and on each month for a few days at a time since November. It is just so frustrating. I am thinking a trip to the allergist is the next move. Maybe he has developed a different food allergy? Any suggestions?
I'm having the same problem. This has been going on for years. We go through several days of night time pain....vomitting and diahrrea included, then nothing for a month or so, sometimes a couple of months. He wakes up fine the next day. Have you gotten any more feedback from doctors?
What is he bringing up when he's vomiting?
