When will I feel better.

I had an accute diverticulits attack two weeks ago. I was hospitalized for 6 days on IV flagyl and levaquin.  I came home on oral levaquin as I was not able to tolerate flagyl.
I have been home for a week and now have thrush in my mouth. Still have poor appetite and some pain but not severe. BMs r far from normal. I also have weakness and fatigue after only a few hours of work. I am a farmer and need to be recovering quicker. How long will this take? Is this normal? I still have another week of levaquin and I think some of my symptoms are due to it. Could this be correct?

Good, the nystatin should clear the thrush up.  I would also recommend starting on a probiotic to see if that helps any of your symptoms.

Thanks ,

Ive been on nystatin swish and swallow for a week now and trush is better, but not gone yet. I run out of energy really fast. Also taking zofran for nausea caused by levaquin. I think that makes me tired.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Thrush is relatively common to happen when you have been on antibiotics.  I would recommend talking to your doctor about starting on a treatment for this.  It can take a while for you to get back to 100% and there is not much to do to speed this up, besides making sure you get plenty of rest and are eating the correct diet.  Some of your symptoms could definitely be due to the antibiotic and when you stop this, your symptoms may improve.
