Why doesn't food go down correctly?

I'm only 18 years old and don't remember a time when I could eat food without it getting stuck in my throat/esophagus. I can usually force it down with a liquid, however it sometimes escalates to the point of choking and being unable to breathe. Often times I have to force myself to throw up just to be rid of the horrible feeling of food clogged in my esophagus.  Food also almost always comes up shortly after eating and is undigested. It's to the point where I get anxiety eating in public places or when I don't have a drink. Please help.
Thanks.

Yes, you need to see an ENT and he or she will need to do a swallowing study to find out the cause of your difficulty.  There are a few different causes of swallowing problems.

A swallowing disorder is called "dysphagia" and you need an in-person evaluation by a physician specializing in this disorder. Please make such an appointment a top priority. You have my sympathies.
