Yellow mushy stool/ constipation/ excessive bloating

Hi, I am 19 years old and about two weeks ago I started noticed irregularities in my BM. My stools were very soft (mushy), and seemed to break apart in the water. However, I had no constipation and started loosing weight (loss of appetite 3lbs in 4 days). At times I randomly became short of breath (taking deep breaths) and exhausted (but I'm in college.. that seemed to be normal). However the past week my symptoms have changed. I have become severely bloated 24/7  in the lower abdomen (belly button and bellow), and it is very uncomfortable. I feel as if I have stuffed my face, even though I haven't eaten anything. I still have no real desire to ingest any food, but force myself to eat. I would consider myself to be very active, and lightweights and exercise daily.  I eat anything but junk food.. lots of protein.. whole wheat.. fruits veggies, basically a balanced diet. However, I am always passing gas, sometimes it smells very foul (prolongs for a couple days) then subsides to smell like a normal fart. My stools are now mushy yellowish stools (break apart once in water), and appears to have mucous in it. Also, food seems to be undigested, and the stools are pencil like ( not near as big for the amount of food I eat everyday). I am currently taking Metamucil 2x a day, and some mineral oil, but still no normal BM has occurred. Sometimes I feel as if liquid is in my stomach (like when you jump up and down after drinking a lot of water): with a cool sensation in lower abdomen, followed by gurgling. I have no pains, except for the bloating which is starting to get very uncomfortable. I have gained 8lbs in the past week, and my shorts no longer fit me... I told my father and he thinks  I might have giardia, but my family has had many members die of colon cancer (at young age 24-55). I just want relieve myself of this dead weight in my abdomen and feel normal again.. Can anyone help, or any ideas of what I'm experiencing?
