My doctor referred me for an upper gi and abdominal ultrasound after symptoms of acid reflux and esophagitis. I was having difficulty swallowing pills. The diagnosis was mild esophagitis and acid reflux and slow digestion. After getting the results of the ultrasound, they advised me that I have a fatty liver. The doctor advised me to lower my lower carb intake and refined sugar, and to excercise. My liver enzymes are alt 17 and ast 29, which I understand to to within normal ranges and that my triglycerides are high at 197. She did refer me to a gastroneterologist, but my appointment isn't until next week and this is stressing me out big time. I am a 52 year old female. Please any feedback would be appreciated
